|The Maltese-Spanish Chamber of Commerce (MSCC) is a non-profit making association, which aims to promote and assist in the development of business, investment and any other economic or commercial relations between Malta and Spain. The Chamber offers companies in both countries commercial promotion opportunities and supports its members through a wide range of services.Malta and Spain have a long tradition of commerce and trade, dating back to before the time of the Knights of St John. More recently, and especially since Malta joined the European Union in 2004, commercial activities and economic relations between Malta and Spain have developed and increased at an extraordinary pace. Opportunities have arisen in various fields and sectors and both Spain and Malta offer considerable untapped business potential.The MSCC is a key networking platform for business initiatives and trade between Malta and Spain. It provides its members opportunities for building trade relations and networking through various events such as conferences, seminars and presentations. Members also receive up-to-date information about business opportunities and have access to a number of support services.
In this respect, it maintains close links with its members and with the worldwide network of national and other bilateral Spanish Chambers of Commerce. Additionally, the Chamber has an excellent working relationship with the Embassy of Spain in Malta and the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise & Industry. Furthermore, it has access to the Ministries and national agencies responsible for trade, industry, investment, tourism and finance as well as other relevant organisations in both countries.
The Chamber contributes to a greater understanding of the economic environment in both countries and facilitates entry into specific markets that members have identified as part of their strategic plans.
